Adjunct Faculty Position
The Food and Hospitality Service program at El Centro College has one (1) opening for an adjunct
instructor to teach Hospitality Supervision- 3 credit hour course, dealing with the supervision of employees in the Hospitality Industry.
Job Summary
Instructors are required to attend orientation/training sessions; prepare for and teach/present assigned objectives described in the curriculum for a course; provide consultation to students, conduct exams and submit grades and all paperwork related to the College and students.
Educational requirements: Individuals must posses t Bachelor’s degree (verifiable by official transcript) or higher. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
Work Experience: Three (3) years or more management/supervisory experience in the Hospitality Industry
Other Skills: Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse populations. Teaching experience helpful. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Posses excellent communication/teaching skills and the ability to use a variety of instructional strategies to support the students.
Citizenship: Must be eligible to work in the USA
Job Duration: Spring semester of 2009. From January 20th to May 9th, 2009
Teaching Schedule: Tuesdays from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Pay: For 48 hours of classroom contact hours the pay is $1,969.44
